OpinionRoute LLC (“Us” or “We”), respects the privacy of our partners, clients and their customers and the survey participants who engage with our surveys. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to provide information concerning our services, the types of information we collect through visits to, use of, or communications with our Websites located at www.navigatorsurveys.com, www.orsurveys.com and www.opinionroute.com related software and web applications (the “Websites”), how we use that information, whether we disclose the information provided to us to others and the options you have with regard to the use of and correction of that information.  This Policy does not apply to information collected by us offline or through any other means, including on any other Websites operated by us or any third party (including our affiliates and subsidiaries) or information collected by any third party through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from or on the Websites. 

What Kind of Information Do We Collect? 

We collect several types of information from and about users of our Websites, including information by which you may be personally identified, such as name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number or any other information the Websites collects that is defined as personal or personally identifiable information under an applicable law (“personal information”).  We may also collect information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Websites and usage details. We collect this information directly from you when you provide it to us and/or automatically as you navigate through the site. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses and information collected through cookies and other tracking technologies. 

More specifically, the information we collect on or through our Websites may include: 

  • Information that you as a visitor to our corporate Websites provide by filling out forms such as your name, email address, employer, phone number, city, state, mailing address, and any additional information you provide in a by completing forms on or through the Websites or any other communications you make with us on or through our Websites; 
  • Information that you as a possible survey participant provide by completing surveys, including demographic information, financial information (income, net worth, etc.), information relating to purchases and preferences, and whatever other information you agree to provide for purposes of such survey activity; 
  • Information collected when you report a problem with our Websites; and/or 
  • Records and copies of your correspondence (including e-mail addresses), if you contact us. 

To the extent you provide information relating to any other person to the Websites, you represent and warrant that you have full permission and authority to enter such information on behalf of that person and that such information is accurate. 

As you navigate through and interact with our Websites, we (or a third party designated by us) may also use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns, including: 

  • Details of your visits to our Websites, including traffic data, location data, logs and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Websites; and 
  • Information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, the page(s) you request, the domain name of the Websites from which you may link to the Websites, your computer operating system and browser type. 

The anonymous information we (or a third party designated by us) collect automatically from the Websites is statistical data and does not include personal information.  It is stored and used for aggregate research, promotional purposes and for future site development to better understand your needs and improve our products and services, to improve our Websites and to deliver better and more personalized service, including by enabling us to: 

  • Research potential advertising possibilities; 
  • Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our Websites according to your individual interests; 
  • Speed up your searches; 
  • Recognize you when you return to our Websites. 

Children Under the Age of 13: 

Our Websites is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any information to or on the Websites. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on this Websites or on or through any of its features on the Websites, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or username. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. What Are Cookies, How Do We Use Them and How Can I Disable them? 

The technologies we (or a third party designated by us) use for the automatic data collection described above may include cookies, flash cookies, or web beacons.  Our cookies do not contain any personal information about you, so only we will be able to use the cookies to determine your identity. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by clicking the “decline” button on the notice that appears upon first visiting the Websites. If you decline, your information won’t be tracked when you visit the Websites. A single cookie will be used in your browser to remember your preference not to be tracked. You may also refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting, you may be unable to access certain parts of our Websites. Unless you have declined to use cookies or adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to our Websites. 

How Do We Use, and Protect the Information We Collect? 

We have a firm commitment to protecting your privacy and security. We use firewalls to prevent access to information in our system and use commercially acceptable practices to protect it from disclosure, destruction, modification or use.  Please be aware that the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Websites. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Websites. 

We process personal information for certain legitimate business purposes and may use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:

  • To present our Websites or a survey/contents to you; 
  • To fulfill any purpose for which you provide it to us; 
  • To notify you about changes to our Websites or any products or services we offer or provide though it; 
  • To monitor usage of our services; 
  • To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection; 
  • Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests; 
  • Where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation; 
  • In any other way we may describe when you provide the information; or 
  • For any other purpose with your consent. 

 

Will My Personal Information Be Disclosed to Third Parties? 

As outlined in the Terms of Use, when you provide personal information via our Websites for business interactions or surveys, this information may be shared with the third party sponsoring the survey. We will not disclose your information to any other third parties, except as described in this policy under “How Do We Use and Protect the Information We Collect.” 

  • We may also disclose aggregated, non-personal information about users without restriction. Personal information may be disclosed in the following circumstances: 
  • To trusted third parties who have agreed to maintain confidentiality. 
  • To a buyer or successor in the event of a merger, sale, or transfer of our business or assets. 
  • To comply with legal requirements, such as court orders or government requests. 
  • If disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of OpinionRoute, our customers, or others. 
  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provided the information, such as for investigative services or event speaker requests. 
  • For any other purpose disclosed at the time of data collection. 
  • With your consent.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use 

We may use artificial intelligence technologies to enhance our services, such as personalizing content and analyzing data. Any data collected for these purposes will be handled in accordance with our privacy and information security practices. We are committed to transparency and security in how AI is applied, and users may request more information at privacy@opinionroute.com or our Data Privacy Officer with your request. 

Third Party Sites 

The Site may contain links to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when leaving the Websites to read the privacy statements of each site that collects personal information. 

International Data Transfers 

We may transfer personal information to our affiliates and third parties, including service providers, in jurisdictions other than the jurisdiction you are located in. Please note that such jurisdictions may not provide the same protections as the data protection laws in the country where you reside. 

When we engage in cross-border data transfers, we will ensure that relevant safeguards are in place to afford adequate protection for personal information and we will comply with applicable data protection laws, in particular by relying on an EU Commission or UK government adequacy decision or on contractual protections for the transfer of personal information, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. 

 

Service Providers 

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our services, provide the services on our behalf, perform service-related services or assist us in analyzing how our services are used. 

These third parties have access to your personal data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are contractually obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

  • request restriction of processing your personal data; 
  • request transfer of your personal data; and 
  • withdraw your consent.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests in a timely manner.  Occasionally, it may take an extended period of time (a month or longer) to respond to your request if your request is complex or if you have a number of requests. We may ask you to verify your identity in connection with any such request. 

You have the right to complain to a Data Protection Authority about our collection and use of your Personal Data. For more information, please contact your local data protection authority in your state, country and if outside the United States, please contact the European Economic Area (EEA). 

Data Retention 

We will retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes and enforce our legal agreements and policies. 

We will also retain usage data for internal analysis purposes. Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our services, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer periods. 

How Will I Know When This Privacy Policy Updated? 

We may amend this Policy from time-to-time. We suggest you visit this Websites periodically to determine whether or not any such changes have been made.  Any changes or updates to the Policy are effective immediately upon posting to the Websites and your continued use of the Websites after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes.  The date the privacy policy was last revised is identified at the bottom of this page.
