Today, I can Google the patient ratings of my new pulmonologist and also read sight-seeing reviews before planning a family vacation. However, there is no kind of ratings system of any shape for market researchers to make more informed procurement choices—and they deserve one.
Like my past experience in healthcare, Quality is paramount in MRX. In healthcare, quality ties mostly to clinical care experiences. For market researchers, the quality of survey responses, and therefore reliable data, are paramount.
In an industry defined by insights, in an era typified by data-driven decision making, many MRX companies struggle to know the quality of a sample partner without trial and error. Billions of dollars pour into the sample world each year across a small pool of players. This seems misaligned to us.
The good news is that the industry conversations on this topic are expanding. The even better news is that fraudsters are the poster children for equal opportunity—they do not discriminate. Obtaining quality data is what all researchers strive for, and what their clients deserve.
To quote the iconic Chris Farley in Tommy Boy, “Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer’s sake, for your daughter’s sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me.”
(Generational footnote: Yes, Chris Farley’s auto parts sales approach trumps the infamous “Coffee is for Closers.” Sorry to the Boomers and Gen Xers!)
What makes MRX unique from healthcare—and brake pads for that matter—the survey fraudsters evolve every day. Our approach to this? Hire them to test our products daily. We literally pay reformed fraudsters to teach us their tricks and then to break our tech. Then we tell you all about it at conferences, webinars and via our online content! Is there a stronger example of continuous improvement? Our philosophy is simply that we’d rather find the next thing or current vulnerability before it hits your project.
When I moved into this new world last year, I was a little worried that transitioning away from health care would be a shift away from that quality-focused passion that I admired about my clinical colleagues. The reality: The quality-focused passion remains. I see it every day in our leadership team.
Our CEO & Founder Terence has invested the company’s profit into building and enhancing technology to block known fraud. We have the only known industry quality benchmarking system for quality. Continuous improvement is in our DNA. Healthy conflict and debate is the norm. Challenging how we do things is integral into our growth.
It’s the highest standard we can strive to achieve.
